Fertility Law Attorney in New York

I am a New York-admitted attorney licensed in 1991, working in the field since 2001, and tirelessly committed to providing family building legal services for individuals, couples, families, donors, and surrogates as their advocate. 

As both a native New Yorker and the mother of IVF twins who have faced my own fertility challenges, this work is deeply personal to me. My journey to motherhood, combined with my decades of professional experience in New York fertility law, drives me to advocate for my clients with empathy, care, and determination. 

My commitment to this work extends beyond my individual representations. In addition to assisting New Yorkers in building their families, I am also an educator and an active voice in the industry. I am proud to have worked with the New York State legislature to legalize compensated surrogacy in New York State in 2020 and continue to advocate for those in need of family building legal services, including donors and surrogates. Our work is never done, and I will persist in fighting for all New Yorkers to have the most comprehensive legal protections, but we have come a long way. 

I am credentialed in Family Mediation through Harvard Law School and in 2019 was awarded the Mary L. Landrieu Knowledge and Action Award “For Leadership, Dedication and Vision to Improve the Lives of Children and Families” by the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys at which I am a Fellow.

I have a long-history of leadership, advisory boards and executive roles at many industry related non-profit organizations including New York Attorneys for Adoption and Family Formation/NYAAFF;  Men Having Babies/MHB Legal Advisory Committee; AllPaths Family Building (formerly RESOLVE New England); Parents Via Egg Donation/PVED; Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy/SEEDS
